World Population Day

World Population Day

World Population Day, ( 11 July )

Dear Parents,

On this very special occasion, Jain Global school fraternity wants to present before you some appalling facts:

• “Around the year 1800 world population was expected to be one billion.

• By the year 1900, second billion was added, and the 20th century has added 3.7 billion.

• The present world populated is estimated at 7.7 billion.

• Every fourth day the world population increases by one million”.

• The current population of India is estimated to be 1,354,051,854.

These facts may surprise you but they allow us to think that how our children will survive under the pressure of such a huge population. We expect our parents to discuss with the children in the family that they will have to keep themselves mentally and physically so fit that they can face the challenges of the global world for better future. The scarce resources will be in the hands of those who will have power to grab them. Hence survival of the fittest situation will exist.

We would like to draw your attention towards the quote which given by Nobel Laureate Dr. Henry W. Kendall , “If we don’t halt population growth with justice and compassion, it will be done for us by nature, brutally and without pity and will leave a ravaged world”.

Let us take a pledge to train this generation to take care of our earth for future people. It is their share hence we should find a solution now.

Yours sincerely,

Team JGS
