Dear Parents,

Jain Global School wishes you best wishes for INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY.

We believe good education & good health should be the first priority of modern schools. Yoga keeps oneself physically fit, mentally alert and emotionally balanced. Truly speaking, yoga integrates personality and education. In this fast changing world many people are found struggling with their physical fitness and are surrounded by fatal diseases. Therefore, the concept of holistic education together with yoga is the demand of the hour.

In this session (2018-19) our children will learn the following yoga practices:

1. For Personality Development-

• Surya Namaskar

• Asanas

• Kriyas

• Dhyana (Meditation)

2. For Stress Management

• Breath Awareness

• Body Awareness

• Anulom Vilom Pranayama

• Bhramari Pranayama

• Kriyas- Kapalbhati

3. For Meditation

• Shirshasana

We have decided to shape our students’ personality through open discussion & yoga practices. Yoga practices can develop imagination, creativity, critical thinking, memory retention and decision making. The other important aspects such as listening carefully to others, being polite and clarity of thoughts, voicing ones thoughts politely are other positive elements that our children can learn from yoga.
Childhood is the best time to inculcate the habit of yoga. All we expect from our parents is to spend some quality time for discussion on yoga at breakfast/lunch or dinner time. Those who are already practicing yoga, they must evaluate that what more can be done. You can also download yoga protocol program issued by Government of India from the download section of JGS website .
